When stationed in Germany as a young soldier he was inspired by the woodspirits He saw in the Black Forrest carved out of tree roots.

Now forced to retire he decided he was much too young for that and took his inspiration a step further and started to carve stumps and trees.

He now travels all over the US and Canada carving commissions for
